A Private Training Grant is defined as, "Assistance to an organization to support the training of students, personnel, or prospective employees in research or in the techniques or practices relevant to the delivery of health, education, science, or technical services in a particular area of concern." The FREND Group's Training Grant pays the clinician's professional fees, clinician's assistant and any ancillary costs. This appoach is the most cost-effective use of avaliable grant funds we know of. Attendees receive a free education and clinically proven-effective treatment to help eliminate stress and stress-related issues such as smoking and excess weight. Positive reinforcement clinical programs are available upon request that are based on advanced research in behavior modification at UCLA, Stanford, Harvard, John Hopkins and the Mayo Clinic. Used as directed, these clinically produced audio programs are very effective at helping the user maintain a stress-free lifestyle, healthier weight and eliminate addiction to tobacco products. They are provided free-of-charge to financially challenged individuals or may be obtained at minimal cost. Upon arrival, attendees may also help support this charitable program with a voluntary and modest monetary gift, used to continue research to eliminate chronic stress, addiction to tobacco and obesity and conduct free clinics for people in need.
