Training/Clinc Begins

FREND’s training/clinics are conducted by certified clinicians. The sessions consist of a comprehensive and fascinating education on the how the mind and body work together to create a healthy or an unhealthy lifestyle.

We are whatever we believe we are! Because our thoughts have a direct influence on our body, FREND’s clinically based program shows people how to effectively modify their belief system to improve their health and lifestyle.

This presentation is educational, clinical and motivational. Attendees experience proven effective progressive relaxation and behavior modification techniques designed to eliminate stress and stress related issues quickly and easily.

Proven effective techniques such as progressive relaxation and positive imagery help participants enjoy immediate relief from stress, tension and anxiety. They also learn how to continue enjoying a stress-free lifestyle indefinately utilizing positive reinforcement techniques.

Attendees learn how chronic stress can lead to unhealthy addictive behavior such as smoking, obesity, insomnia, stress-induced pain, alcohol and drug buse and how they can reverse these unhealthy habits.

They also learn about the mind/body connection. How excessive amounts of stress causing food such as caffeine and sugar feed can trigger and support an unhealthy habit. They learn how to deal with the cause of stress so that the effect, smoking, excess weight etc., can then be dealt with more easily.

1st Session - The Mind

The first hour includes a fascinating education on how the mind processes external stimuli through our senses and how that process, when used improperly, can lead to addictive behavior.

Attendees learn about the, theory of the mind, pain/pleasure principle, progressive relaxation modalities, positive visualization, biofeedback, reinforcement techniques, plus cause and effect of stress that can lead to unhealthy addictive behavior such as smoking, excess weight and more.

The clinician then guides the attendees into the first of two relaxing and enjoyable behavior modification exercises designed to eliminate stress and associated pain in minutes.

Attendees also learn about advanced clinical reinforcement programs, that they and their family can utilize resulting from research at respected facilities such as UCLA, John Hopkins, Mayo Clinic and Stanford University.

The first session lasts about one and one-half hours. Then there is a short intermission. During intermission, most people are amazed at how relaxed they feel and the fascinating education they received. The intermission lasts from 15 to 20 minutes.

2nd Session - The Body

The second session focuses on one of the most addictive substance that is at the root of many addictions and how certain foods can trigger an addictive episode. How stimulants make a smoker smoke more and crushes the myth smokers have that smoking relaxes you.

Overweight people learn how to lose all the excess weight they want naturally with no fad or starvation diets by simply changing their eating habits to take advantage of their metabolic rate.

They also learn little known secrets tobacco and food manufacturers do not want you to know.

Participants are then guided into a second relaxing behavior modification technique that will help them quit smoking and/or chewing tobacco products, lose excess weight naturally and reduce more stress.

For example, many people report they suddenly stopped drinking alcohol or biting their fingernails, or their love life dramatically improved. We ask families to attend because when the family attends, we find the success rate increases.

Many people tell us after the session they feel like a huge weight has been lifted and leave feeling refreshed, relaxed and very motivated. Many also tell us, that night they had one of the most restful and peaceful nights sleep they ever had.

They feel like a new person and look forward to taking charge of their health and improving the quality of their life. They have a more positive attitude and look forward to eating healthier and enjoying the freedom from excess stress, smoking and other negative behavior they may have.

Results

  • Attendees leave relaxed and motivated with a positive attitude toward themselves, family and co-workers. They have the knowledge, skills and confidence they can now control stress and stress-related issues.

  • Stressed attendees say, stress and tension was eliminated or significantly reduced during the session. Many report, remaining stress-free for months afterwards and that stress-induced headaches and muscle pain also disappear.

  • Overweight people report, losing excess weight naturally, with no fad or starvation diets. Typical weight loss reported is between 8 and 35 pounds within six weeks following one 2-hour training/clinic. While not typical, some attendees reported losing up to 125 pounds over an extended period of time.

  • Smokers and chewers of tobacco products report, quitting following the traiining/clinic and that withdrawal synptoms were nonexistant with little or no weight gain.

Since 1994, The FREND Group has dedicated its clinical expertise and financial resources to improving the quality of life by proving free education and treatment for people in need.

FREND's program is supported by the public and those it has helped. Participants may choose to voluntarily support this charitable program to help others in need with a modest gift of five-dollars. Support is strictly voluntary and those who cannot or choose not to, are never turned away.

Attendees who request additional help may receive a clinical reinforcement audio program proven to enhance success and help prevent relapse. Depending on their financial situation, we provide these programs free. Others may obtain them for a modest additional prescribed gift.

Monies received are used to fund more free training/clinics for people in need and also support research to combat chronic stress, smoking and obesity.
